Know How To Get A 6 Pack
With summer lurking just around the corner, there's no better way to start shaping up and getting the abs you want and deserve. It has become a modern myth that you can’t get abs if you weren’t born with it or if you don’t use enhancements. The people who believe this have obviously never heard of The Truth About Six Pack Abs by Mike Geary. Like me, Mike has struggled with fat loss and muscle gain, so I'm sure he knows what he is talking about. Mike’s approach has considerable focus on nutrition but also provides brief yet effective exercises that really have good science as their backbone.
You have to get rid of fat before six pack abs can appear. This is because fat sits above muscles. Meaning you can build all the muscles you want and still not be able to see them if you’ve a good deal of fat covering them. Some people are just predetermined to store more fat while others just can't seem to store fat. It's the sad truth but do you really want to let that get in between you and the body that you want?. While some of us really have to put more effort than others, that only makes the fruit of the hard work all worth it. In fact, if fun is made part of the equation, the hard work would not even seem so.
To start off, let’s take a look at your diet. The goal is to eat the kinds of food that help you burn fat so you can consequently show off your abs. But of course, you would want to have abs to show to begin with so you have to actually build abdominal muscle too. If you want efficiency in your exercises, try the workout plan provided in Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto. You’ll learn how long you should train, what exercises to include, how many times a week and etc.
The following are some tips and tricks that I swear by because I live them everyday. The first trick is breakfast. Frankly, I don’t think I could ever say it enough that breakfast is one meal you should never ever miss. Your digestive system gets a jolt through this to start grinding after a fasting of 8 to 12 hours during sleep when you have a good breakfast. Through this, your appetite gets the good curbing it needs. Immediately after my first encounter with breakfast, I noticed that I wasn’t missing or craving in-between-meals munchies anymore. In fact, it takes a lot of time before, and that is if I even, get hungry. But since skipping meals is never something I would go for, even when I wasn’t hungry I would force myself to eat. Skipping meals can mess up your metabolism.
Breakfast shouldn’t be too hard, right? But the deal is you have to make sure you’ll eat a healthy and complete one each day. A healthy breakfast should provide you the protein, healthy fat, whole carbs and fiber you need to build muscle, fuel your workouts and help you lose fat. Some foods to include are whole eggs, healthy dairy (skimmed milk, cheese, etc), whole grain cereal or bread and fresh fruits. When you're building muscle, you need all the protein you can get. If you are wondering what fatty eggs and milk are doing here, it is because they are both really good sources of protein and they have chemicals that aid in fast fat-burning. In the The Truth About Six Pack Abs, you’ll find recipes that are really in tune with your ab-forming goals and the great news is they taste really good. So if you want yummier healthy diet options, this program is your go-to.
Morning exercise is one of my other go-to tricks. Do some jumping jacks, skip rope or dance to at least two or three songs when you wake up. So that's around 15 to 20 minutes of exercise that you should do about 30 minutes or more before you eat breakfast. When I did this, I immediately noticed my midsection getting smaller and my fat depleting. A combined cardio and muscle building workout will best serve you when you’re aiming for crazy abs and you can do this through compound exercises. Have protein rich healthy breakfast every day morning. The food you eat must be rich in proteins. You can also whole-grain breads rich in carbohydrates that give energy to your body. Why we go for protein rich food is that it keeps a stable blood glucose level. It helps in building muscle quickly. Having proteins alone will not be sufficient. Your diet should be a balanced one which covers fruits, vegetables, meat and grains.
Initially start working with free weights like barbells and dumbbells. Lifting weights exerts pressure on the existing muscle tissues which in turn helps you to build muscle quickly. You will definitely find a change if you keep practicing the right kind of exercises. Exercise machines also help you strengthen and enlarge your muscles but if you want to build muscle quickly you have to go for free weights only.
Squats, push ups and pull ups can help you in achieving your target body shape quicker. These exercises will also help you build your muscles but not as effective as free weights. But they will provide very good shape to your muscles. But if you use the same weight and do same number of repetitions in all your workouts, your body can't grow. So to build muscle quickly you must increase the weight or number of repetitions you are lifting at regular intervals.
Do not go for supplements that have not been in the market for more than a year. Don't get impressed by the advertisements without testing the supplements. Make sure you include few items in your diet such as fish oil capsules ad multi-vitamins.
Drink plenty of water. Getting enough water is important for maintaining energy levels. You should drink 8 to 12 glasses of water every day. Take rest after you complete your exercise. Especially when you are a beginner you will require complete rest without giving too much strain to your muscles. Muscles will grow only when you take rest. Here rest means having a good sleep. If you work with more heavy weights everyday it may lead to injury to the muscles.
Challenge Your Abs and Work on the Weight Bench (fitsugar)
You're probably familiar with doing ab exercises on the floor, an exercise
ball, or even on a BOSU, but have you ever made use of the weight bench?
Rather than moving to a floor to complete your crunches, try these exercises
in between sets of arm, chest, and back work using the bench - you're already
there, make use of it.
Expert Crunch trainer Livia Jenvey offers up these five exercises that target
all the major muscle groups in your abdomen: the transverse muscles that wrap
all the way around the trunk of your body, the obliques or muscles on the side
of your abdomen, and the rectus muscles, which run down the center of your
belly and are responsible for creating your six-pack.
