Invoice Finance: Shield From Economic Slump
With economic recession that the world is experiencing great impact was felt on businesses. Many businesses have suffered worst particularly small businesses; some existing businesses close shop and worst faced bankruptcy and devastation. Small businesses are particularly vulnerable as they often don't have the reserves to survive downfall of revenue which is the blood of a company to continue to run.
The outcome of recession has lowered consumer confidence that shifted to online shopping that offers a lot of discounted rates on items and services making them more affordable. Vulnerable businesses need to gear up and make some ways to save the business from closing in this time of recession.
Let us discuss some ways in which you can make your business running even when the rest have given up:
Your capital is what makes the plant and machinery from continuing to operate but if your firm’s cash reserves may not be enough to cover the costs and maintenance, an imminent closing is at hand. This is where Invoice Finance comes in to save you through Business Factoring and Invoice discounting. Invoice discounting is a business method which allows a firm or a company to take out loans against its invoices but have the control over the invoices. The money being handed out is a loan so the company will have to pay a fee as well as the interest on the loan.
It is imperative to make a plan to save money through cost cutting. The first thing that you should do is to review your inventory management practices and gather to staff and hold a meeting. Start with energy saving rules and implement it to the staff. Then lessen water consumption if possible.
Review all your current suppliers and outgoing expenses. It doesn’t necessarily mean that when you always get to that particular supplier you will stick to them; at time of crisis anyone is making ways to save money. You can make canvass for other supplier that may offer lower cost with same quality; you can search your contact database and look for connections that you might overlook.
The services you provide and satisfaction of the customer should not be sacrificed because of economic downturn. Make the most of the customers and clients you have by maintaining the quality of services and products you deliver to them, although you can make some changes. If you’re supplying merchandise you can actually make it reasonably priced by cutting down the size.

Black Herstory: Ida B. Wells, Pen Warrior (Ms. Magazine)
Today, on the final day of Black Herstory Month, I honor my favorite black
woman of history: Ida B. Wells (1862-1931), married name Wells-Barnett,
fierce, articulate, determined, courageous and completely uncompromising in
her fight for racial and gender justice. And she did most of her fighting with
a pen, as she was best known for [...]
