Help to make the care home a better place
If you are in the ownership of a care home or perhaps even work within one and you think that there may be some room for improvement then there are a few simple and cheap ways of doing so.
First of all it is always a good idea to actually walk around and have a chat with the residents yourself. From time to time just go and ask around if the residents think there could be any improvements made to the place. As they are living there the whole time it is a lot harder for them to cope with something that is wrong as there is nothing they can do about the issue in the home.
A good idea is to go around and ask everyone what their favourite meal is, once a week or even month put all of these into a hat and pull one out and that is what gets cooked for that evening, it gets people involved. Residents love being listened too and this is a good way to do this.
Why not arrange for a couple of evening where residents and staff get together for a bit of a laugh. Bingo and dart nights are a good way to keep everyone amused. Why not celebrate a birthday in the home in a bit of a better way, put out balloons and make a cake, its not expensive and it will make a birthday.
Optimize the kitchen and washing area with commercial laundry machine as well as using commercial dishwashers.Saving money is crucial at the moment and having bigger machines could save you a few pennies in the long run. Having top laundry equipment could save a lot of time as well so instead of hiring extra staff to mingle with the residents one of the existing staff members could get a bit more involved.
Only a few ideas there to help improve the productivity of the home as well as improve the happiness of the residents.

In the beginning it sounds like it has the darth vader theme played in violin although it is not. It's alternative and I always hear it on the radio. I can't think of any lyrics though. I think it is also used in a washing machine commercial or something.
