Will esophageal cancer strike 'Killer' out?
There was a statement issued by 74 year old Killebrew on Thurs, accounts Northwest Cable News. Apparently he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Former Washington senators and Minnesota Twins slugger is preparing for a big battle against it even though the surviving rate of esophageal cancer is higher than others. One of probably the most experienced medical centers with esophageal cancer, the Mayo Clinic, could be treating him.
"While my condition is very serious," said Killebrew in a statement, "I have confidence in my doctors and the medical staff, and I anticipate a full recovery."
One of the greatest athletes to hail from the state of ID, Harmon "Killer" Killebrew hit 573 home runs during his Major League Baseball career, which ranks 11th on the all-time list. He played for the Washington Senators (1954-1960), Minnesota Twins (1961-1974) and the Kansas City Royals (1975). Between the 1990s and 2000s, baseball and home run statistics got deflated. Still, Harmon Killebrew has some of the best home run statistics.
Esophageal cancer information
The esophagus, or the tube that food gets from the throat to the stomach in, is where the Mayo Clinic states esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer typically originates in the cells that line the inside of the esophagus, although medical experts indicate that it can occur anywhere along the esophagus. There is one common place that esophageal cancer is typically found within the U.S. This is the part of the esophagus that connects to the stomach. The cancer has progressed more than it ought to if you start to see esophageal cancer symptoms. This is what the American Cancer Society reports. Symptoms may be difficulty swallowing, chest pain, weight loss, frequent choking and other forms of pain. Treatments usually consist of radiation therapy, surgery or chemotherapy.

UFC getting really stale since the days of Pride Fighting.?
If performing means playing it safe for 3 rounds to get the "win"...then something needs to change. Pride had the right idea....all I ever hear these days (and NOT on the UG) from everyone I run into is that the UFC has gotten boring and stale. This is becoming a BIG problem, even I"m losing interest and I have been here since thge very 1st one.
What are you talking about, Pride fighters get knocked out all the time in the UFC. Just recently Crocop got knock out by a knee to the Face. Though you have a point, the last main event I saw was just a sit and stare wait out till the judges came in. Rampage came from Pride but I'm certain that if it was a pride match he wouldn't have just sat around until the judges scored it.
But no seriously the Pride Highlights are a lot of fun to watch. I'm not sure why so many fighters are less aggressive these days.
