Surviving 2012 Book – Why You Should Get One

December 21, 2012 has long been considered a special date. Some people claim that this day ushers in a new age, other people, on the other hand, mostly doomsday fanatics, say it will be the end. If this prophets is true, the least thing we can do is to prepare. A surviving 2012 book may be helpful in defining our survival during and after the cataclysm of 2012.

But why in the first place should we care about this date?

The procession of the stars, the discrepancies in the length of days, the changes in the Sun, the earth, and other planets in our solar system have all been instrumental in the creation of the prophecies that date as far back as the times of Mayans and Egyptians some millennia ago. So instrumental, in fact, that they served as the bases for the creation of the most accurate and most complicated calendar ever created – the Mayan long count calendar.

Not everyone is sure about what will happen on December 21, 2012, but various prophecies all agree that something huge will indeed befall mankind. To top all this, ancient prophecies, mythologies, ancient monuments, and archaeological evidences all suggest of a series of cataclysms that could all fall on the winter solstice of 2012.

The Mayans, in fact, kept watch of all this with better precision than our current technologies that they were able to keep track of all the cycles occurring in our galaxy. They have already known the movements of our galaxy and all that’s in it long before we have the technology to verify what they knew all along.

For one, the Mayans have understood long ago that the center of our galaxy is the black hole where all heavenly bodies revolve around. They have also calculated that our Sun and our planet move across around one arc of this revolution around the galaxy every 25, 800 years. Within this time frame, four sunrises of the equinox and solstice have been recorded. The last time this happened – the last fall equinox 6450 years ago – was the rise of the Old World Civilizations. The last time our planet and sun completed the 25, 800 year-cycle, man learned how o use fire, certainly a turning point in out civilization.

With these historical records, the Mayans propose that the completion of this current cycle will harbor something that will revolutionize our age.

Now that we are nearing the end of this cycle, we are possibly nearing a time period that will reset everything.

The great Mayan calendar will run out of days on December 21, 2012 for a good reason. Unfortunately, the reason is not similar with that which explains why our calendar ends on the 31st of December. It is a reason that is both revered and feared at the same time. For a reason, the Mayans did not detail the reasons for us although they did assure us that it will be a defining moment for all humankind.

But then again, save for the various predictions detailed by some prophets and seers across the centuries since the Old World vanished, the Mayans provided us no clue as to what events we will be facing leading up to the end of our time. But as many prophecies suggest, this end or beginning will reveal us catastrophes of unknown proportions.

This could be the perfect time to grab yourself a good surviving 2012 book. If all the ancient prophecies will unfold soon, it will be best that you will face them with some preparation.

Help me find a new TV series?

Over the Summer I'd love a LONG-RUNNING series to keep me occupied. It can be still running or ended, but I'd like it to be at least somewhat recent. I'm not incredibly picky, but I'll list the TV shows I do enjoy to give a better idea of my interests.

Shameless
Arrested Development
The Big Bang Theory
The Vampire Diaries
The Walking Dead
Weeds
24
Lost

Things I do not want: Cop/crime dramas, reality shows, sci-fi shows that are so bad effects-wise it's unbearable, etc.

I'm looking for something with a good original plot, gripping characters, and not totally crappy acting.

‘NCIS’ Celebrates 200th Episode: TCA (Deadline Hollywood)

_**Diane Haithman** is contributing to Deadline’s TCA coverage._ _NCIS_
executive producer Gary Glasberg said after today's TCA panel that actor Muse
Watson would be among those returning to the long-running series for its 200th
episode airing February 7. Watson portrays retired special agent Mike Frank,
Gibbs' (Mark Harmon) mentor. Glasberg was coy about whether other guest stars
would return but confirmed that Lauren Holly will not. He said, "Just watch
the show, there will be surprises." During the panel, Glasberg elaborated on
that 200th episode, “Life Before His Eyes,” which concerns a “pivotal moment
that Gibbs faces" and will look back at key moments throughout the 9 years the
show has been on the air. He also said the episode would bring back “familiar
faces, old faces.” Glasberg and cast members including Harmon also did not say
how long the show could run. Asked whether the show could run as long as
_Gunsmoke_, Harmon joked: “I like the idea of riding a horse, if we’re gonna
do that. Tomorrow we go to work.” On the 200th episode, he said: “We had a
cake, and there were speeches, and we went back to work.”
