Looking For The Best Credit Card Deals
Just as you would shop around before buying an exotic laptop or a new luxury car before settling on one that suits your needs, you should pursue the same policy opertraining to shopping around for credit card bargains.
With many banks and other groups providing credit cards these days, it is now a buyer’s market and the first and only thing you should watch for is misold PPI and the interest rates that come attached when it comes time for repayments.
Some of the interest rates are exorbitant to put it mildly and can go up to just about 30 percent if you take a cash advance and 26 % on just what you buy. But by shopping around, you can beat the system and narrow down your search to credit cards which best fits the bill.
There are some rules you need to follow to ensure you get the best interest rate. The more regular you are in paying bills your chances multiply several times over into getting a very attractive interest.
Make sure you pay back at least more than the minimum balance owed on what you need to pay back on your credit cards. Paying just the minimum balance alerts the credit card issuer you may be having cash flow problems and they might appropriately raise interest rates. Minimum balance owed in that sense is a does not tell it like it is.
Payments clearlyneed to be cleared by the due date. Missing a payment or any payment given after the due date is frowned upon by credit card outfits irrelevant of mis-sold PPI and it will take a while to get your credit rating back and meanwhile, the interest amount will rise.
If you have increased your credit limit at some time or the issuer has done it for you, you could actually be in trouble if searching for a new card. Instead of seeing it may be an indicator of you being a good credit risk, lenders will think the temptation to spend all that cash will come with an inability to pay it back, which would be a reason for worry.
Bombarding the mail boxes of credit card issuers with filled out application forms will not benefit you in any way. It reeks of extra eagerness to receive credit which shows badly on you and signifies you are a risk.
These are just some of the guidelines that you can follow to make sure you don't get mis sold PPI and do get credit cards with a reasonable interest amount. While the card firm will work for you, by following these rules of thumb you can actually stand to gain with a low interest amount as the reward.
Used right, plastic money can be a helpful friend to have with you. If not, you could be heading for financial trouble.
